Basic Staples- (Meat & Poultry) Food items I buy every time I shop ; chicken breasts or thighs, ground meat (turkey or lean beef), shrimp, pork tenderloin.

Basic Staples- (Canned Foods, Pasta & Rice) Food items I am sure to always have on hand; black beans, white beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, green chilies, capers, black olives, basil pesto, instant brown rice, rice pasta, chicken broth, soy sauce (or Tamarind, it’s gluten-free),rice vinegar, red wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar, olive oil.

Veggies or Produce- Whatever is on sale; I read the flyers I get in the driveway before I even go shopping so I have idea of how I might use them. I almost always have fresh frozen green beans from Trader Joe’s in my freezer. I also always have red skinned potatoes or sweet potatoes, onions and fresh garlic available.
